New Original Series and Acquisitions Highlight Market Line-ups

TORONTO, September 26, 2006—Ellis Releasing (Stand 04.11 at MIPCOM), the global distribution subsidiary of Ellis Entertainment, has acquired the rights to five new series launching at MIPCOM — Bugs and Blooms, A Day Inside: The Calgary Stampede, Fusion Fare: Chef’s Edition, Flow Yoga, and Zarathustra.  VisionTV International (VTVI), the joint venture between VisionTV and Ellis Entertainment, will also be launching  five new titles at the market — Enigma, Celtic Angels at Christmas, Divine Restoration II, 5 Seekers and Guides and Gurus.

Bugs and Blooms (39 x 30 minutes) Hosted by horticulturalist Donna Balzer and entomologist Todd Reichardt Bugs and Blooms demonstrates how to cultivate your own green space in the concrete jungle, no matter how small your space, climate zone, and gardening ability.

A Day Inside: The Calgary Stampede (1 x 60 minutes) A fascinating look at a day in the life of rodeo cowboys, clowns and bull riders participating at the Calgary Stampede.

Fusion Fare: Chef’s Edition (65 x 30 minutes,) Professional chefs share their expertise in a wonderful exploration of the world’s foods and cultures.

Flow Yoga – (Series 2, 65 x 30 minutes,) A hip, modern approach  to daily yoga practice hosted by yoga masters Kelly and Jason.  Flow Yoga is a daily workout with an emphasis on building strength, fitness and flexibility while reducing stress.

Zarathustra (2 x 60 minutes) Roxanne Jagosh is a young Canadian woman who is also a Zarathushti (a faith that is dwindling worldwide, based on the teachings of the prophet Zarathushtra who lived some 3,500 years ago).  Roxanne will be our guide as we begin, through her eyes, the voyage of discovery of her faith, her society and her heritage.    

From VisionTV International:

Divine Restoration (Series 2, 13 x 30 minutes) Two days of tender loving care that has a church, the community and the Divine Restoration team working together in each episode to complete a much-needed renovation for a deserving congregation.

Enigma (9 x 60 minutes) The anthology series of stand-alone documentaries exploring various unexplained and unusual spiritual and paranormal phenomena.  Selected episodes include a ‘jet propelled’ anti-Christ, tarot and hypnotism.

Celtic Angels at Christmas (1 x 60 minutes) Featuring Christmas songs for family audiences richly arranged with traditional Celtic and contemporary instruments.

5 Seekers/ The Path (6 x 30 minutes and 13 x 30 minutes) Five adventurous and inquiring individuals head on a spiritual road trip of a lifetime.
