The Ellis Vision Team

Michael Steinberg,
Head of Production

Michael joined Ellis Entertainment in 1998 as the company's first in-house legal counsel and became the firm’s first Vice President in 2002, responsible for daily business administration.

Reporting to the president, he is involved in many aspects of running the parent company as well as its distribution and production arms, Ellis Releasing, Ellis Vision and VisionTV International, including: strategic planning, personnel, and business development, in addition to all contracting and legal affairs.

His experience in the television industry was honed at Morris/Rose/Ledgett and at Nelvana Limited, where he reported to the COO. Michael holds combined degrees in law and business from Osgoode Hall and the Schulich School of Business at York University. He was called to the Bar in 1996.

Paola Alevizos,
Accounting Manager

Paola is a veteran of Ellis Entertainment, responsible for day-to-day financial operations since 1990. She covers all the financial aspects of the business, including production cost reporting, accounts payable and financial reporting. Paola is also responsible for tracking the profitability of the hundreds of hours of programming that the company has created over its long history.

Barbara Gardhouse,
Line Producer
Barbara has over 24 years experience in television production – both in studio and on location - in a variety of genres including, lifestyle, comedy, business, youth and factual. Her shows have aired on virtually every broadcast and cable network in Canada. Prior to joining the company she was consulting on development, pitching and troubleshooting.

Yen Chu,
Production Manager
Yen has worked in documentary production and production finance for over seven years. In that time, she has delivered programs both domestically and internationally. Yen joined the Ellis Vision production team in the winter of 2006..
